What can I expect during my office visit?

Your first office visit will include detailed health history, region specific physical exam of your main joint complaint, and review of any previous imagining that you bring with you. Once all of the information is compiled, We will answer all questions or concerns that you may have. You will be given an outline of your treatment plan and an estimate of cost of the injections at that time.

We follow a step-by-step and functional methodology. Often times, it takes years for the body to get to a point where the aches and pains get you to come into the office. We’re probably not going to fix it overnight, but we will improve you step by step to get you back to an active and healthy lifestyle. If you are willing to make a commitment and do what is recommended, we will guide and inspire you to achieve the highest levels of health you are capable of.

What are the risks of Regenerative Injection Therapy?

There are very few risks involved. You may be sore for a few days after the procedure, but that is a side effect, not a risk. Infection is a possibility but is extremely rare. Regenerative injection therapy is a very conservative approach to treating pain. Unlike surgery that might help temporarily, but it can also make your condition worse. You can opt to do surgery, but you can’t “un-do” it. The biggest risk of our therapies is that it won’t help your condition, however, performed properly, it will not make your condition worse.

How many treatments do I need?

Each person is different.  Your current lifestyle and state of inflammation plays a big role in how much and how fast your body heals and the quality of the regenerated tissue.  We will guide you on the lifestyle modifications that will optimize your treatments.  With Prolotherapy, some people notice a benefit immediately and receive most relief following 4-6 treatments every 4-6 weeks. With PRP, most benefit is realized following 2-4 treatments every 4-6 weeks.
